Zack Wheeler's wife Dominique makes major announcement; spouses of Bryce Harper, Andrew McCutchen and more react

Philadelphia Phillies ace Zack Wheeler became a father for the fourth time last week. Wheeler's wife, Dominique, announced the news on social media, eliciting reactions from many, including the partners of Bryce Harper and Aaron Nola.

On Tuesday, Dominique shared a three-snap Instagram post announcing the newborn's birth. The pictures were taken by Veronika Paluch, a popular Philadelphia-based newborn and family photographer.

"Goldie Wheeler. 7lbs 11oz born on June 2nd. We love you so much sweet girl," she captioned the post.

The news had the wives of other Phillies stars excited as well. Second baseman Bryson Stott's wife, Dru, commented:

"She is the most perfect."

Starting pitcher Aaron Nola's wife, Hunter, wrote:

"Love you guys so much."

Outfielder Nick Castellanos' spouse, Jessica, reacted with an emoji:

Infielder Weston Wilson's wife, Madison, reacted:

First baseman superstar Bryce Harper's spouse, Kayla, wrote:

Some wives of Wheeler's former teammates also responded to the post. Britney, the wife of LA Angels catcher Travis d'Arnaud, who played with Wheeler for seven years with the New York Mets, commented:

Maria, the wife of Pittsburgh Pirates icon Andrew McCutchen, who played three years with Wheeler for the Phillies, wrote:

In addition to Goldie, Zach Wheeler's other children are Wesley (born July 2020), Bambi (born June 2022) and Winter (born February 2024).

The Phillies were on a losing streak in Wheeler's absence due to paternity leave. In his first start after Goldie's birth, Wheeler impressed by striking out seven while giving only one earned run in six innings pitched. The Phillies won the game 4-3 in the 11th inning.

Zack Wheeler began dating his future wife in 2016 and engaged in 2018. The couple tied the knot a year later on New Year's Eve. Dominique is a graduate of LIM College in New York with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing. She has worked in various jobs, from sales associate to style intern to makeup artist.

He penned a heartwarming message to her on Mother's Day last month:

"Wes, Bam and Winter are the luckiest kids to have you as their mom. I love you. Happy Mothers Day," Wheeler wrote in an Instagram post.

The four-snap post highlighted some of Dominique's moments with her kids. The pictures showed her with her kids at different locations — like the ballpark, the beach and the amusement park.
