All MLB teams are back on the schedule today, which means there are going to be ample home runs hit. Predicting which players will or won't leave the yard is incredibly difficult, but it's something that has become a very popular prop bet in sports betting. To that end, we've got today's best picks from DraftKings. Yesterday, one of the five picks hit.
Best MLB home run prop bets for September 20
#5) Bobby Witt Jr.: +370
Bobby Witt Jr. has cooled off of late, but he's still one of the best hitters in baseball. The Kansas City Royals star has 32 home runs, but only three have come in the month of September. Today, he faces Mason Black (0-4, 7.07 ERA) and the San Francisco Giants.
#4) Byron Buxton: +260
Byron Buxton has only hit 17 home runs so far this season, though he has only played in 95 games. That's a 29-homer pace over a full season. The Minnesota Twins star does have a very good matchup today, though. Buxton gets to take on Richard Fitts (winless without an earned run in one outing) and the struggling Boston Red Sox.
#3) Ian Happ: +250
Ian Happ has hit 25 home runs this season. Two of those came in the last seven days, so the outfielder is hitting well right now. He's on a roll and he has a good matchup: Trevor Williams (5-0, 2.22 ERA) and the disappointing Washington Nationals.
#2) Seiya Suzuki: +235
Seiya Suzuki hit his 21st home run of the season yesterday as part of a multi-hit performance. The Chicago Cubs star seems to be heating up a bit, and he's got a good chance of hitting another home run today. Suzuki is of course also up against Trevor Williams (5-0, 2.22 ERA) and the disappointing Washington Nationals.
#1) Marcell Ozuna: +160
Marcell Ozuna has been one of the best home-run hitters in baseball this year. The Atlanta Braves star has just one this month, and it came in the last seven days. He's due for another one soon, and he gets to face Valente Bellozo (2-4, 3.70 ERA) and a Miami Marlins staff that was just abused by Shohei Ohtani.
