#1 Allan Border - Australia
Allan Border became the first Australian captain to bag a ten-wicket haul and register a half-century in the same match. He made this record against West Indies in a Test match which began on the Australia Day. The iconic Sydney Cricket Ground hosted this match of the Frank-Worrell Trophy.
The visitors batted first and put up 224 runs on the board with their innings being dismantled by the opposition skipper Allan Border. He recorded a 7-wicket haul in his 26 overs spell to tilt the match in his side's favour. He then played a patient knock of 75 (330) to help his side take the crucial first-innings lead.
Border once again troubled the Windies batsmen as he scalped 4 wickets in the 2nd innings to keep them down to 256 runs. Australia won the Test match with supreme ease and Border rightly awarded the Man of the Match.
