New Zealand v West Indies - 1st T20
Chris Gayle dismantled Zimbabwe with his splendid performance

Chris Gayle is probably the most explosive batsman of all-time. He is a nightmare for bowlers and can smash the opposition bowlers out of the park at will. Gayle has played in 284 matches for West Indies in ODIs and accumulated 9727 runs at an average of 37.13, accompanied by 49 half-centuries and 23 centuries. In the bowling department, he picked up 165 wickets.

West Indies toured Zimbabwe for a 5-matches ODI series in 2003. With series tied at 2-2, the focus was on the fifth ODI at Harare. In the fifth ODI, the hosts won the toss and chose to bat first, but were foxed by Chris Gayle who finished 4/24 in 10 overs. The Zimbabwe team could only score a paltry total of 196.

In return, Gayle came up big, with a century and ended up scoring 112 off 75 balls, accompanied by 17 fours and 2 sixes. The visitors clinched the series and Gayle was adjudged the Man of the Series for his brilliant performances throughout the series.
