The third on the list is again an England player, Charlotte Edwards. She is a legend of the game, being the leading run-scorer for England in women’s ODIs. In her career, spanning 19 years between 1997 and 2016, Edwards scored 5992 ODI runs in 191 matches.

1231 of those runs came while playing in 36 World Cup matches. Moreover, four of her nine ODI hundreds in total have come in World Cup matches. She now stands second on the list of players with most runs in both ODI and Test cricket.

However, she is still the leading run-scorer in Women’s T20Is with 2605 runs to her name in 95 T20Is. Interestingly, her highest ever ODI score of 173* came while playing in a World Cup match. Her Test numbers are as impressive as her Limited overs statistics. She has over 1600 runs in 23 Tests that includes 4 hundreds and 9 fifties as well.
