2. Ajinkya Rahane
Another player who fought for that number four spot in the Indian squad. Ajinkya Rahane, who has been fantastic for the Indian Test side for now many years, has failed to seal his spot in the Indian ODI side. He has got ample opportunities at both the opening and the number four spot but has failed to impress apart from some series like that happened in West Indies where he was the Man of the Series for his performances.
Ajinkya Rahane has often been criticized because of his disability to play with a good strike-rate. Though a steady batsman like Rahane would be quite helpful in the seaming conditions in England, the team management might not think the same. Ajinkya has been a great team player for India but it seems like he will not get an opportunity to showcase himself in the World Cup 2019.
