Australian all-rounder Shane Watson is quite confident of winning this edition of the ICC World T20. Australia have chosen their strongest players to play in this tournament. According to the 32-year-old all-rounder, they have picked a team which has hard hitters in their batting line-up, down to number 10.
“We’ve got the most balanced side and balanced squad I’ve ever been involved in. We really do have firepower consistently all the way in our batting order, down to number 10 even,” Watson was quoted as saying by Times of India.
Bringing in new coach Darren Lehmann has brought a positive hope for team Australia to win this tournament. It is believed that Australian side is bringing versatile talent which can be used for all conditions.
“Bowling-wise we’ve got options, from high quality opening bowlers, to high quality death bowlers and high quality spinners.We have versatility. In all conditions, against any opposition we can match up really well,” said Watson.
Australia will play their first match against Pakistan on March 23rd, 2014. Australia have not won any edition of ICC World T20 since the start of this tournament.
