2024 T20 World Cup top run-getters and wicket-takers after England vs Oman match (Updated) ft. Jos Buttler & Adil Rashid

On Thursday, June 13, 2024, England locked horns with Oman in the 28th match of the 2024 T20 World Cup.

England, bowling first, knocked Oman out to 47 runs in 13.2 overs. Shoaib Khan, who scored 11 runs of 23, scored the highest among Oman players, while the rest were dismissed in single digits. Adil Rashid was the wrecker-in-chief in England’s bowling attack, chipping in four wickets for just 14 runs. Mark Wood and Jofra Archer picked up three wickets each.

In reply, despite losing two wickets, England chased the target in 3.2 overs, thanks to captain Jos Buttler's eight-ball 24-run knock and short cameos from Phillip Salt (12 off 3) and Jonny Bairstow (8 off 2). Bilal Khan and Kaleemullah took a wicket each for Oman.

David Warner (115) and Ibrahim Zadran (114) are ranked third and fourth, respectively. Meanwhile, Andries Gous is currently fifth, scoring 102 runs in three games.

Gerhard Erasmus and Nicholas Kirton follow in the next two spots, each with 101 runs in their account.

Marcus Stoinis of Australia has scored 97 runs in two innings, including an unbeaten 67-run knock, and ranks eighth in the most runs list.

Rishab Pant has been the top-scorer for India, scoring 96 runs in three matches, averaging 48. His best score so far includes a 42-run knock against Pakistan.
