The Kiwis hammered Uganda by nine wickets in their previous match at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad. Bowling first, they bundled out Uganda for 40 in 18.4 overs and then gunned down the target in 5.2 overs. They gave a tough fight to the West Indies in their opening match and came close to winning against Uganda, eventually going down by three wickets. Having been hammered by seven wickets by Afghanistan, they will be keen to sign off from the tournament with a better display.
