#6 Chris Gayle (98 runs off 66 balls), Barbados, 2010
MS Dhoni won the toss and sent Windies to bat first on a lively wicket which had assistance to the bowlers. Gayle and Chanderpaul got them off to a cautious start and didn't allow the Indian seamers to exploit the conditions.
The ever explosive Chris Gayle played a very uncharacteristic inning where his strike rate never got over 150. However, the important aspect was that he batted till the last over and if not for the run-out off the penultimate delivery, Gayle would have reached the toughest T-20 century of his career. He only thrived in the last 5-6 overs of the innings and got Windies over 165 with the help of 5 fours and 7 maximums.
Ultimately, it proved out to be more than enough as Indians fell short by 14 runs.
#5 Evin Lewis (100 runs off 49 balls), Lauderhill, 2016
India had won the toss in their first-ever international T-20 game in the United States and decided to field first on a wicket that looked nothing less than a batting paradise. Lewis and Charles got their team off to a dream start as the duo raced past 100 in the 8th over.
Lewis brought up his maiden T-20 century and the 200 for the West Indies in the 15th over with the help of 5 fours and 9 massive sixes. He hit Stuart Binny for 5 consecutive sixes in the 11th over of the innings and displayed the crowd the ultimate fun of T-20 cricket.
