4. ANGELO MATHEWS:

Sri Lanka v Pakistan - ICC Champions Trophy
He played a crucial part in Sri Lanka's batting in the 5th ODI against South Africa

Batting first in the fifth ODI, Sri Lanka got a positive start. When Mathews came to the crease, Sri Lanka were cruising at six per over. Due to his unbeaten run a ball 97, Sri Lanka managed to put 299 runs on the board in 50 overs. In reply, South Africa only managed to score 121 runs.

Mathews was the leading run-getter of the five-match ODI series with 235 runs at an average of 78.

3. AKILA DANANJAYA:

Pakistan v Sri Lanka - ODI
He was awarded as the Man of the Match in the 5th ODI against South Africa

After a mediocre performance in the first four ODIs, Akila returned with a match-winning spell in the final ODI against South Africa. Batting first, Sri Lanka made 299 runs. In reply, South Africa only made 121 runs courtesy Dananjaya's career best 6/29. Sri Lanka won the match but lost the series 3-2.

For his performance, he got an appreciation from his skipper Mathews saying, " Akila is made of steel, going for runs in the last couple of games and coming back with a six-for in this game was fantastic." Dananjaya was the leading wicket-taker of the five-match ODI series with 14 wickets.
