What's the story?
The last two days of the final Test between India and Australia were rain-marred as a total of only 25.2 overs were bowled in two days and the match ended in a draw. Even with the rain around, the Indian dressing room was devoid of any tension as they were already leading the series 2-1 and the draw would mean a series victory to them.
For most parts of the last two days, the teams were restricted to dressing rooms. Once it was officially confirmed that the final Test was a draw, the Indian team started their celebrations as they become the first Asian side to beat Australia in Australia.

In case you didn't know....
India were the favourites to lift the trophy but a 147-run loss in the second Test match raised some doubts. The Indian team did not allow those questions to linger for long as they asserted their dominance with a 137-run win at the MCG.
Cheteswar Pujara, the Man of the Series, was the best Indian batsman. In the four Tests, he scored a total of 521 runs at an average of 74.43. He was consistent throughout the series scoring three centuries and one half-century.
The Indian bowling attack hunted in packs as almost every bowler made their fair share of contributions. If one has to pick India's best bowler, it would definitely be Jasprit Bumrah who picked up 21 wickets in four Test at an average of 17.00.
What's next?
With this series win, India continues to remain the No.1 Test side in the world and South Africa will be the only country where India hasn't won a Test series. With the completion of the Test series, India and Australia will now fight it out in the ODI format. The first ODI between the two sides will be played in Sydney on 12 January.
After playing the three ODIs against Australia, India will be travelling to New Zealand for a limited overs series comprising of three ODIs and three T20Is.
