India hold a decent record in the World Cup semi-finals

India have qualified for the World Cup semi-finals on six occasions (before this World Cup). They made it to the final four stage for the first time in 1983, when they went on to win the title. Post that, they broke into the top 4 in every alternate edition - 1987 1996, 2003, and 2011. India has been very consistent after the 2011 World Cup, and have made qualified for the third consecutive time since then.

India have a decent record at the semi-finals of the World Cup. While they have emerged victorious on three occasions, they have endured hard luck in the other three.

Led by Virat Kohli, the Men in Blue would hope to increase their winning percentage as they face New Zealand at the Old Trafford on 9th July.
