Playing his first ever international tournament, Jofra Archer impressed the cricket world with his magnificent performances for England. Archer featured in all the 11 matches that the hosts played, bowling 100.5 and taking 20 wickets in the tournament to emerge as the highest wicket-taker of his team.

Besides contributing to the team's cause with his wicket-taking ability, the West Indies-born player also bowled 8 maiden overs. Though Archer was instrumental in the team's success in the semifinal and final, he could not bowl a maiden over in either of the games, nevertheless bowled some crucial overs in the back end of the innings.

Archer's two maidens in the match against Bangladesh was his best in an innings. He was very successful in his white ball initiation and given his style of bowling, the fans are excited to see him play Test cricket for England.
