Apex Legends Alter officially teased in Urban Assault collection event trailer

Apex Legends recently released a trailer for the upcoming Urban Assault collection event. Respawn Entertainment also sneaked in a few teasers of the new Legend, Alter, who is supposed to enter the Apex Games soon; this included some basic graphics and audio of the new character. However, the developers have not officially confirmed the complete list of abilities.

One of the biggest hypes surrounding any online multiplayer title is the arrival of new gameplay content, and Apex Legends likes to introduce new character skins through collection events. In the latest Urban Assault trailer, the developers included a few teasers for Alter. Although the items were limited, this could be a hint that the legend might be added to the game in the next seasonal update.

The first teaser is Alter’s logo, which, throughout the entire video, appears as a green overlay with a disjointed lower jaw and sharp edges. It is a moving logo and appears to have horns on the side and has a laughing animation. This comes on the trailer screen in the background and almost looks like the devices are being overtaken or hacked.

The next noticeable teaser of Alter is on the scoreboard that is shown after the Rumble game mode section. You will observe that the top spot was originally coveted by Fuze, but a short overlay comes up with Alter’s name and replaces the first position. This could be a hint at the character’s background and their expertise in taking over computerized systems.

As soon as the video reaches the end screen, laughter can be heard in the background which does not belong to anyone on the active roster. We can speculate that this might be Alter’s voice, which further suggests their release in the near future.

Everything we know about Alter’s abilities

Since the developers have not yet confirmed Alter’s abilities, we can only sketch up their potential abilities and their effects.

The signature ability will supposedly help the upcoming legend travel through certain surfaces by creating a portal. It could potentially share some similarities with Wraith’s portal.

Alter’s ultimate ability is rumored to be similar to Wraith’s ultimate but with a mechanic similar to Revenant’s pre-rework ultimate ability. This ability will supposedly allow players to remotely interact with the ultimate and return to the original point where it was placed.
