The Seven Archons, or The Seven, are the gods that rule over the seven regions in Teyvat. They are among the main driving factors when it comes to Genshin Impact's story. Players have already met four of them and are naturally excited to meet the remaining three. Luckily, they won't have to wait too long to meet the next god because Fontaine will be released very soon.
That said, this title's developers have done a great job of keeping the identities of Hydro, Pyro, and Cryo Archons a mystery. They've only been dropping hints every once in a while. Not much information is available regarding these divine beings who rule over Teyvat, and this Genshin Impact article will cover everything that is known about them.
Who are Hydro, Pyro, and Cryo Archons in Genshin Impact?
1) Hydro Archon - Focalors (Fontaine)
The current Hydro Archon's name is Focalors, and she is the God of Justice. Just like Nahida, she is not an original member of The Seven. This Hydro Archon is yet to make an appearance in Genshin Impact and has only been mentioned a few times in its story.
According to Nahida, Focalors has a "unique personality" and enjoys watching the court trials in her nation but doesn't actively take part in them. Here is a quote by Neuvillette, the Chief Justice of Fontaine, from Nahida's introductory post in HoYoLAB:
"One might say she pays too much attention or dotes on people too much.... But while her actions can be flawed, I believe her sense of responsibility as Sumeru's deity to be a commendable thing. Ah, that the youngest of gods should be thus, while a certain other person, by contrast, should be so prone to hysterics...."
As one can see, Neuvillette complements Nahida and then compares her to "a certain other person." This is speculated to be Fontaine's Focalors. Thus, it can be assumed that she is a mischievous and irresponsible god.
Moving on to Focalors' kit, Genshin Impact leaks suggest that her abilities might be related to gravity. It seems that she can create a domain from her burst. When the on-field unit is inside this field, the entire party will be exposed to the "gravitational pressure" and constantly lose their HP. however, they will also receive damage buffs in exchange.
In addition, it is speculated that the active unit's resistance to interruption will be slightly increased. Do note that information on Focalors' kit is based on leaks and is subject to change.
2) Pyro Archon - Murata (Natlan)
Murata is the Pyro Archon who used to rule over Natlan and is perhaps the god shrouded in mystery the most. She is known as the God of War and Lady of Fire. Very little is known about this entity, and her status from 1,000 years ago is also unknown — to the point that it is unclear if she is even alive or not.
The above image is of Vennessa from Genshin Impact's official manga, Prologue: Songs of the Wind, where Venti is telling her about Murata:
"Back in those days, warriors from every tribe would perform rites of combat and celebrate victories in her name. Come to think of it... She can be pretty obnoxious at times."
For those who are unaware, Vennessa is the Knights of Favonius' founder and first Dandelion Knight. In the manga, Venti immediately recognizes her as one of Murata's people because of her red hair and hardened body. Nothing else is known about this god, but players can expect more information when they reach Natlan.
3) Cryo Archon - Tsaritsa (Snezhnaya)
Tsatritsa is the current Cryo Archon who rules over Snezhnaya. Like Nahida, she is not an original member of The Seven. However, she is the leader of The Fatui, which is one of the major antagonist groups in Genshin Impact. Currently, this entity is trying to obtain the Gnoses of all the other Archons, which is speculated to be related to her goal of "burning away the old world."
Tartaglia has referred to Tsaritsa as a very gentle soul who had to harden herself and declare war against the world because she wished for peace. Interestingly, Wanderer also talks about her in his voice-overs and states that everyone praises this Cryo Archon for her kindness and benevolence but refers to her love as a sin. He also states that she might be trying to compensate for something.
Another interesting fact about the Cryo Archon is that an incident that occurred 500 years ago — the details of which are unknown — resulted in Tsaritsa developing resentful feelings toward Venti. This explains why she had La Signora attack him during Mondstadt's Archon Quest.
This diety's divine ideal is currently unknown, and her appearance has never been revealed. However, it is speculated that she uses a scepter, so one can assume that this character could be a Catalyst user in Genshin Impact.
