Homeworld and Caste choices mostly add to your gameplay experience by making it somewhat distinct. Dune Awakening offers you five Homeworlds, each with its special Dialogue Trait and Emote. Neither impacts the gameplay seriously. These are:
These are all the unique differences you'll see in Dune Awakening based on your Homeworld choices. When it comes to caste, you get three different options representing three tiers of society:
- Bondsman: Bondsman Dialogue Trait
- Na-Familia: Nobility Dialogue Trait
- Pyon: Pyon Dialogue Trait
The caste choice adds to the dialogue traits, which generally do not impact your gameplay significantly. Therefore, you can pick and choose whichever sounds attractive to you. Enthusiasts of the Dune films by Denis Villeneuve or fans of the original book series by Frank Herbert may be attracted to worlds like Caladan or Geidi Prime.
This is because these Homeworlds promote the traits of Atreides and Harkonnen, respectively, two of the most important families in Dune, with Paul Atreides, the main character, belonging to the former.
That said, perhaps the choice of Mentor is more important in the game as it allows you different starting abilities and access to skill trees.
