Developed by Build a Rocket Boy, the studio founded by a former Grand Theft Auto producer, upcoming action-adventure game MindsEye is turning heads. With it gaining attention ahead of its launch on June 10, 2025, many players on Xbox and PC are wondering if the game is coming to Game Pass.

Unfortunately, it won’t be on Xbox Game Pass at its launch. This article explores more about the game and whether it will come to the subscription service later.

About the game

Developed under the creative direction of Leslie Benzies, a former Rockstar Games lead who worked on the Grand Theft Auto series, MindsEye is expected to be an intense action-adventure thriller.

The gameplay supposedly involves fast, tactical third-person combat, which evolves as you progress. Players are expected to be able to use a vast arsenal, with each weapon designed for different types of encounters.

With its cinematic tone, futuristic setting, and high-caliber gameplay, the title's release has created a buzz within the gaming industry, especially among fans of story-driven shooters and those who’ve followed Benzies’ past work.

MindsEye won’t be on Game Pass at launch

MindsEye is not launching on Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass. If you're planning to play it when it drops on June 10, 2025, you’ll have to buy it separately for $59.99/£54.99.

There’s no confirmed plan to bring the title to the subscription service in the near future, though that could change later. Microsoft regularly updates its Game Pass lineup, so a future release isn’t off the table. However, don’t expect it to come free with your subscription anytime soon.

If you plan to explore Redrock and take on hostile forces and robots, you'll need to buy the game. But with the level of detail and expected gameplay depth, it may well be worth the investment.
