At Summer Games Fest 2025, IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak made a major announcement that caught fans offguard — Agent 47 from the Hitman series will officially appear in MindsEye. This confirmation came during the IOI Showcase event on June 6, where new details were revealed about IO Interactive’s upcoming projects.
Among them was MindsEye, a third-person, single-player, narrative-driven action-adventure thriller, set to launch on June 10, 2025. Developed by IOI Partners and directed by Leslie Benzies, the game is set in Redrock, a near-future desert metropolis dominated by tech, surveillance, and power-hungry elites.

In this game, you play as Jacob Diaz, a former special-ops soldier struggling with memory issues caused by a neural implant. The city of Redrock, while branded as “The Safest City in the World,” is run by robots and constantly monitored by a powerful algorithm. As Jacob digs into his past, he becomes entangled in a larger conspiracy involving sentient machines, shady corporations, and a global threat. Expect explosive combat, cinematic storytelling, intense driving sequences, and a fight for humanity’s future.
Hitman has a contract
It's now official that Agent 47 will receive a special assignment in Redrock City. His presence was teased at the end of the new MindsEye trailer, and Hakan Abrak himself confirmed his appearance immediately afterward:
"We can't wait for you to discover MindsEye when it launches on June 10th, from Build A Rocket Boy and IOI Partners, and yes, you may have noticed that Agent 47 will be contracted for a very special assignment in Redrock City."
MindsEye promises a rich, immersive experience with layered characters and tech-driven chaos. And now, with Hitman officially stepping into this world, the stakes and excitement have never been higher.
