While introducing the reveal, SGF 2025 host Geoff Keighley called Mechabreak one of the most anticipated shooters of the year, highlighting its massive beta numbers — over 300,000 concurrent players on Steam and a total of 3 million players.

And it’s not just buzz either — as of writing, the game ranks #6 on Steam’s most wishlisted games, just behind heavyweights like Hollow Knight: Silksong, Deadlock, Subnautica 2, Dune: Awakening, and Light No Fire.

All major modes expected to return

As far as modes go, the game is expected to carry forward its core multiplayer options: 3v3, 6v6, and a PvPvE extraction shooter mode. Nothing new was revealed during the SGF trailer on that front, but the variety is still something players can look forward to if they enjoyed the beta.
