How to complete The Alters: Build the Bridge

The Alters: Build the Bridge is the major part of the first act. It requires you to complete a number of steps to cross the lava river and move on with your journey. Here is the simplest method to do it:

• Exit the airlock and head left until you see the Lava River.
• Turn right and move forward until you encounter a rock blockade.
• Interact with it and obtain the crafting recipe for the Vertara Drill.
• Return to your base and craft the Vertara Drill in the workshop.
• Also, craft at least three drill cartridges alongside.
• Head back to the rock blockade and break it using the drill.
• Keep exploring and building mining outposts until you find a suitable vantage point.
• Speak with Jan Technician, and select the dialogue “I have bad news about our way around.”
• He will tell you that a scientist can help.
• Create the scientist alter and build the research lab.
• After creating the scientist, research a solution for crossing the lava river under the Missions tab and speak with Jan Scientist.
• Now, research the Bridge Anchors.
• After the research is complete, speak with Jan Scientist and craft the Bridge Anchors in the workshop.
• After crafting four Bridge Anchors, head back to the Lava River and place two anchors on either side of the river.
