Professionally, Norris is in the midst of a breakout F1 season as he is chasing his maiden title. With McLaren building the fastest car, Norris and Oscar Piastri have utilized the advantage to rank P2 and P1, respectively, in the championship standings.

Currently, Norris is just 10 points behind his teammate at P2, and with a large part of the season still left on the cards, tables could turn any minute.

However, despite the clear dominance, Norris believed that McLaren was vulnerable in qualifying sessions. He urged the team not to be complacent about rivals catching up.

Talking to PlanetF1, he said:

“There are still places where we’re vulnerable, and especially in qualifying it gets very close. I think people seem to quickly forget how close the other qualifying rounds have been; they’ve been split by hundredths and thousandths, and there hasn’t been smooth sailing for us in every single one.

"But it’s clear, we have the best car on average, and we still seem stronger in the race, although it’s clear that the others are catching up. Our gaps in the race are probably a lot bigger in the beginning of the year than they are now. I do think that our competitors are catching up. We just need to keep our heads down and keep working hard.”

McLaren has showcased a pace advantage over others. However, Lando Norris' concerns add a new chapter to the team's dominant season.
