In 2024, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and McLaren's Oscar Piastri were involved in a social media joke regarding the former's family. Ferrari and McLaren were also involved, along with their drivers.
It all started with Ferrari's post on the micro-blogging site involving Charles and his brother, Arthur Leclerc. Uploading the picture, Ferrari wrote:
"What's better than one Leclerc? Having two."
Replying to it, McLaren posted a photo on the thread with Piastri's image in the right-hand corner, and wrote:
"Three." (Signifying three Leclercs)
Leclerc then decided to respond to the thread with his dog, Leo's photo, and wrote:
"Four."
Ultimately, Piastri took up the chance to share his response. Upon watching him in the photo at the corner, he wrote:
"That’s more like it but what I am doing round that corner?"
Here's the series of responses by Ferrari, McLaren, Charles Leclerc, and Oscar Piastri on X:
Notably, Piastri's involvement in the Leclerc family has come after the Australian driver joked about having his roots in Monaco, in a Monegasque family. The joke went to such an extent that Leclerc jokingly adopted him.
Oscar Piastri claimed Spanish GP victory as Charles Leclerc wrapped up podium
Oscar Piastri claimed the 2025 Spanish GP victory ahead of his teammate, Lando Norris. With this, the Australian driver claimed his fifth win this season and extended his lead in the championship over Norris.

Piastri started the race from pole, kept his place, and held off Norris till the end to secure the victory. He finished the race 2.4 seconds ahead of the Briton. Charles Leclerc was the best Ferrari driver in Barcelona, as he finished the race in P3 despite starting from P7.
"A great weekend overall for us. It wasn’t the best first practise but then we got our stuff together. It’s been a great year and this weekend has been the sort of weekend I’ve been looking for. Thanks to the crowd for being out here," Piastri said.
Max Verstappen, on the other hand, was penalized for his contact with George Russell and was handed a 10-second penalty. As a result, he finished the race in P10.
This has been a huge blow for the Dutchman, as he lost out on a huge chunk of points in the world championship, and now stands in third with 137 points after nine races and two Sprints. Comparatively, Piastri leads the standings with 186 points, whereas Norris is in second with 176 points.
