Lionel Messi has featured in 84 match wins for Barcelona in the Champions League, from the 2005-06 season to the ongoing 2019-20 season.

The diminutive Argentinian became the first player in the Champions League to score five goals in a game when he did so against Bayer Leverkusen in the 2011-12 edition of the competition. He is also the only player to register three quadruples in the competition, one of them being the five-goal haul against Bayer.

Messi, a three time Champions League winner for Barcelona, has the second most wins in the competition for one club, behind his retired teammate Xavi Hernandez's tally of 91.
