Since the departure of Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid has had a torrid time, to say the least. The club had one of its worst starts to a season under Julen Lopetegui and endured an embarrassing Clasico defeat at the hands of Barcelona resulting in a manager sacking. Even under new boss Santiago Solari, the club continues to move from one extreme to the other without confidence, recently losing to Leganes in the Copa del Rey.

The club has been marred by controversy over president Florentino Perez's inability to bring in a worthy replacement for their top-scorer. Fans are more frustrated than ever and this reveals itself in the empty seats that are visible in the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu throughout games this season.

Several players have been linked with a move away from the club, so here we take a look at three players who are likely to say farewell to the Bernabeu this summer:

#1 Keylor Navas

We begin with goalkeeper Keylor Navas who currently appears to be in a bit of a hazy situation at Real Madrid.

The Costa Rican shot-stopper has gone down the pecking order since the arrival of Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea. Under Santiago Solari, the 32-year-old has been the go-to keeper in the Copa del Rey but remains behind his Belgian counterpart when it comes to the Champions League and La Liga.

Navas, who has been vocal about his need for regular football, recently signed a renewed contract with the Los Blancos outfit, despite having been linked with Premier League side Arsenal.

However, if his current situation at the club does not change, it looks like the former Levante man will likely be on the move this summer.

#2 Luka Modric

Luka Modric was the star of 2018. The Croatian midfielder led his home country to the first FIFA World Cup final in their history and won the UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid in the same summer.

The 33-year-old ended the decade-long Messi-Ronaldo duopoly over individual awards and went on to win the treble: the FIFA Men's Player of the Year award, the Best FIFA Men's Player gong, and the coveted Ballon d'Or.

This season, however, Modric has put forward some sub-standard displays but the Croatian could hardly be blamed for the woes of the club at the moment.

In recent weeks, reports have been rife of Inter Milan's interest in bringing the midfielder to the Serie A once again. The Italian club had attempted to sign Modric last summer as well, but the move never materialised owing to Florentino Perez's disapproval.

Considering his age and his form, however, we could see the club let go of the midfielder this summer with Real appearing to be preparing for it as they are currently looking for a replacement in Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen.

#3 Isco

Midfielder Isco has long been linked with a move away from Los Blancos after having fallen out of favour under Santiago Solari, despite the fact that the team is marred by injuries and is now without Cristiano Ronaldo.

The playmaker himself has not been in the best form, resulting in his appearances for Real Madrid to be reduced to the bench.

The Spain international has only started twice in 16 games for the club so far this season, despite being trusted enough with a start in the last two Champions League finals.

The playmaker has been linked with English clubs Chelsea and Arsenal, although the former is unlikely to spend after signing Christian Pulisic and the latter has already admitted to a lack of funds this transfer window.

Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City have been long-time admirers of the Spaniard but recent reports indicate they are keeping the move in the drawer at the moment.

Considering his lack of play-time and the fans' discontent with the man (read: booing during games), Isco looks to be well on his way out of the club this summer.
