Phil Foden was tipped as one of the best youngsters to have come through at Manchester City for a few years now. The English wonderkid has quietly learnt his trade from some of the best in the business, including David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne. After the season he's had, Mason Mount barely needs an introduction as he's established himself as one of the best midfielders in the world at the age of 22. The Englishman has had a phenomenal campaign for Chelsea and has been their most consistent performer throughout the season. Mount combines his excellent creative ability with industry, working tirelessly for his side in every game.
He was one of their UEFA Champions League heroes as well, scoring in the semi-final against Real Madrid and assisting the winning goal in the final. Mount was deservedly crowned Chelsea's Player of the Year and he is, without a doubt, one of the best young players in world football at the moment.
Gareth Southgate will surely be able to count on Mount at the upcoming Euros and provide him with an opportunity to galvanise himself as an England regular. Mount's versatility is surely something that will help the manager as well. The 22-year-old has played 16 times for the Three Lions so far, scoring four goals.
