Alvaro Morata to Arsenal
Arsenal definitely need a quality striker, and one striker whose name has been doing the rounds is Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata. Morata was recently re-signed by Real Madrid from Juventus for €30 million but they are said to be interested in cashing in on him this summer to fund moves for other targets.
Spanish publication Don Balon even claimed that Arsenal had readied a contract offer for the Spanish international. With any deal set to cost more than €50m, Arsenal fans might not be too optimistic about Morata’s arrival, but Wenger in the recent past has shown that he is capable of pulling off surprise signings like Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
What probably makes Arsenal favourites is the fact that Morata himself seems to prefer a move to Arsenal and Wenger might just surprise everyone and stump up the cash to sign the talented Spain forward.
