#4 Matthjis de Ligt

Matthjis De Ligt is by far the most promising young center back in the world. The 19-year-old already captains the Dutch giants Ajax and has emerged as a colossus defensive maestro after a series of thumping performances for his club and country.

De Ligt, who recently won the Golden Boy award, is gifted with immense passing and distribution abilities, along with exceptional tackling skills and dominating presence in the air.

He could join fellow Dutchman Virgil van Dijk at the heart of defense and form an exceptional defensive duo if he were to join Liverpool. However, it does look unlikely, given the fact that other European elites such as Barcelona and Real Madrid are bending over backwards to acquire his solid defense services.

#3 Luka Jović

When it comes to the most in-form players in Europe at the moment, Eintracht Frankfurt's prolific goalscorer Luka Jović undeniably occupies one of the top spots.

The Serbian has been in flying colors since making a loan move to Frankfurt from Benfica. He has scored 23 goals and provided 6 assists for the current campaign, in all competitions. Jović has scored numerous match-winning goals for the Bundesliga outfit and has continued to show his remarkable proficiency in front of the goal.

It could be a sensational signing for the Reds, given that he is young and could fit in the 4-2-3-1 system or initially serve as an ideal back-up for any of Reds' front three. However, availing his signature is not going to be an easy task by any means, as he continues to attract the eyes of top European clubs with the likes of Barcelona.
