AC Milan superstar, Gonzalo Higuain was Cristiano Ronaldo's teammate at Real Madrid between 2009 and 2013. The pair shared the dressing room at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium and were set to line up together at Juventus this season before the Argentine decided to to go on a loan spell at San Siro.
Both superstars will lock horn in the race to claim the Italian Golden Shoe this term and Higuain could eventually stand in Ronaldo's way to clinch the prestigious accolade during the campaign.
The Argentine won the award while he was still at Napoli in 2016, bagging an incredible 36 goals in the Italian top flight. By virtue of his amazing goalscoring record in the division, the striker has a great chance of winning it again and should be considered a serious contender this season.
