The story of Luis Suarez is beautiful - the Uruguayan put his heart and soul into the world of professional football so that he could move to Europe and reunite with his childhood girlfriend. As we all know, he succeeded in that, and today they are happily married and have three children.

Currently one of the best strikers in the world, Suarez kisses his wrist and three fingers every single time he scores. He has revealed previously that this is in dedication to his family, and he also has his daughter's (Delfina) name tattooed on his wrist. No matter how much you dislike Suarez as a player, it is impossible to dislike him as a man who loves his family.

The striker's celebration is now iconic, and you just know that it is coming the moment he scores a goal.

Kylian Mbappe is only 20 years old, but he scores a lot of goals. The World Cup-winning forward is the torchbearer for the next generation of footballing superstars, and he has come up with a unique way to celebrate every time he scores (which is very often).

One of the best forwards in the world, Mbappe puts his two hands across the chest and then looks up to see the distance, often with a cocky smile on his face. The Paris Saint-Germain superstar explained that it was created by his younger brother while he was playing FIFA, and he liked it a lot so it stuck with him. This celebration is now world-famous, and it has become synonymous with the player himself.

Although Gareth Bale's Real Madrid career is no longer what it used to be, the pacy winger's celebration is still well remembered by everyone across the globe. The "11 of Hearts" is an officially trademarked celebration, however, it was not the Welsh international who originally came up with the idea.

This trademark celebration was first used by Alexander Pato, who was sending his love to childhood sweetheart Sthefany Brito back in Brazil. This celebration was also used by several players in the 2018 World Cup, and it essentially is a gesture towards someone or the game in general; a way to rejoice. But of course, this celebration is most widely used by Bale, who is the most famous out of all the players who have ever celebrated like this frequently.

4. Antoine Griezmann and Roberto Firmino's varied celebrations

Antoine Griezmann and Roberto Firmino are two brilliant forwards who love celebrating their goal in style. The French international is known for his two famous celebrations - the Fortnite L Dance, and the Hotline Bling routine from the famous song by American artist Drake. A big video game and rap fan, Griezmann like to keep himself updated with those worlds and his recent celebrations have taken inspiration from the same.

Firmino, on the other hand, just goes with the flow and celebrates as the celebration comes to him. No player has been booked more for excessive celebration in the Premier League than the Brazilain international.

His hand over the eye celebration against PSG, wherein he was playing with an eye injury and still managed to score the winner is a recent example. There is also the celebration wherein he pretends to take his shirt off but only goes half the way because he does not want to get booked again.

More recently, he and teammate Sadio Mane just stood together and waved their arms back and forth as to give way to someone. The forward is truly a maestro of goal celebrations.

3. Daniel Sturridge's dance

Arguably the most famous celebration in the Premier League in recent memory, Daniel Sturridge's dancing is the stuff of legends in England. The inspiration for the same is not well-known, but the striker's dad said confirmed to the Guardian that it was something he did as a child with his cousins.

"I didn't know he could move like that! But I think he did it for a bit with his cousins and he's just been celebrating like that after doing it once. I think it was something his cousins dared him to do and he's just been doing it ever since."

Unfortunately, this celebration is not seen a lot nowadays since Sturridge has left the Premier League and now plies his trade in the Turkish first division, with Trabzonspor. Nevertheless, his celebration will always be remembered by Liverpool, and Premier League fans.

2. Lionel Messi pointing his fingers to the sky

Although Lionel Messi's shirt celebration against Real Madrid is one of the most famous celebrations in recent memory, his trademark celebration is something else. Every time the little magician scores a goal, he celebrates with two fingers pointing to the sky as he looks up.

Messi explained that it was dedicated to his late grandmother, who reportedly played a huge role in shaping him as a footballer.

“I am doing this because I dedicate my goals to my grandmother. She took me to football but now she can’t see how far I have come. Nevertheless, she continues to help me and my family.”

It is a touching gesture by one of the best to ever play the sport, and this celebration has now become one of the all tie favourites with football fans across the globe.

Rival fans hate to see it, and those supporting Ronaldo just wait for it to happen - Cristiano Ronaldo's "SIIUU" celebration is no doubt the most famous in the world right now. Although there can be a whole list made of the number of iconic celebrations the forward has, this one makes the cut due to its popularity and the frequency with which Ronaldo does it.

The Portuguese superstar debuted the famous jump turn move after scoring against Chelsea in a pre-season friendly in 2013. The celebration was inspired by the approving roar of ‘SIIUU’ from the Real Madrid fans, and it was also the most featured celebration in the FIFA 18 video game of which Ronaldo was the cover.
