Chelsea to pay €95m for Edinson Cavani?

Edinson Cavani (2nd L) of Napoli celebrates with Lorenzo Insigne and team-mates after scoring the 3-1 goal during the Serie A match between SSC Napoli and Pescara Calcio at Stadio San Paolo on December 2, 2012 in Naples, Italy.

Edinson Cavani, who has long been a Chelsea target, now has a new release clause worth €95m, revealed tuttomercatoweb.

The 26-year-old striker has been a hit for Napoli, and with clubs like Manchester City, United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich trailing him since a year, it is quite logical to see the sudden rise in the clause.

With a misfiring striker in Torres, Chelsea would still be looking to sign Cavani, and it is suggested they might be even go ahead and nab the striker from Italy.
