Lukaku tops Mourinho’s wishlist
According to a report from The Guardian, Jose Mourinho has made Everton’s Romelu Lukaku his top transfer target this summer. United are in the hunt for a new centre-forward and Lukaku fits Mourinho’s criteria perfectly.
The Belgian has openly admitted his desire to move to a club in the Champions League and his switch to United hinges on the club qualifying for the European competition. The striker currently tops the Premier League’s scoring charts and will be available for a fee close to £70m.
Arsenal want Lemar
Arsenal are in the hunt to sign Monaco’s Thomas Lemar according to the Daily Mirror. The Gunners have reportedly made the player their number one target with Arsene Wenger a huge admirer of the Monaco winger.
Riyad Mahrez is another name being thrown around. Expect the Gunners to try to attract more talent their way in a bid to keep their star players and add to their roster.
Manchester United to submit bid for Eric Dier soon
As reported earlier, Manchester United have been looking at Eric Dier to reinforce their midfield and backline. The player’s versatility is what has sparked Jose Mourinho’s interest and United are set to test Tottenham’s resolve with a £40 million bid soon.
Dier signed a new deal at Spurs last September but the Red Devils feel that their bid will interest the player and it begs the question of whether players would leave Tottenham for United given their current position in the league.
Manchester clubs battle it out for Semedo
Benfica’s right back Nelson Semedo has reportedly caught the eye of both Manchester clubs ahead of this summer's transfer window. According to Portuguese outlet O Jogo Semedo is wanted by Bayern Munich, Inter and Barcelona as well. So it remains to be seen which club makes a move for the right-back first.
Benfica will surely bide their time and look for the right fee for their right-back. United and City are in the market for wing-backs, much like Barcelona after their struggles in that position this season.
Juventus in for AS Monaco’s Fabinho
This one comes from Italian transfer rumour specialist Gianluca Di Marzio who says that Juventus are looking at reinforcements in midfield this summer and are considering a bid for AS Monaco’s Fabinho. Juventus are reportedly keeping tabs on his situation at the Stade Louis II but have identified Corentin Tolisso of Lyon as a potential back-up should they fail to land Fabinho.
Juventus will wait until after the Champions League final to make any bid despite European markets opening on June 1st.
