Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda’s daily transfer news and rumours roundup for 15th April 2017. Transfer rumours across Europe are gathering steam and a number of big deals are likely to take shape come the opening of the summer transfer window.

As always we bring you the best potential transfers summarised in our roundup. Today’s biggest news comes from England with Manchester United looking to spend big while their Premier League rivals are also planning to add more quality to their squads. Let’s head right in.

Jose Mourinho wants two big name forwards

According to The Sun, Jose Mourinho has asked the Manchester United hierarchy to sign two world-class forwards to add to his existing squad. The English paper claims that Mourinho and United are plotting a £160 million raid for Romelu Lukaku of Everton and Antoine Griezmann of Atletico Madrid.

The Griezmann rumours have been circulating for a while now and it looks as though the Red Devils will test Atletico’s resolve with a huge bid for the Frenchman. Meanwhile, Calciomercato in Italy state that United are the latest club to have shown interest in signing Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata.

United have struggled up front this season bar Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contributions and Mourinho wants to add proven goalscorers to play alongside the Swede, provided he stays at Old Trafford for another season. The Red Devils are in the market for forwards and it seems likely that they will spend big on players in that department.

Numerous sources including The Guardian report that Arsenal have struck a deal with Schalke’s Sead Kolasinac for a move to the Emirates. The Bosnian international is available on a free transfer as his current contract with Schalke runs out in June.

The left-back was previously linked with the Gunners’ rivals Chelsea, however, it now seems as though he has agreed a pre-contract move to Arsenal when the transfer window opens.

According to Eurosport and Mundo Deportivo, Atletico Madrid have made Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas their number one transfer target this summer. Fabregas has featured mainly as a substitute under Antonio Conte at Chelsea and is looking to get more game-time next season. The Spanish playmaker was previously linked with a move to AC Milan as well and it remains to be seen whether he stays at Stamford Bridge or moves back to Spain.

News from Sky Sports suggests that Chelsea captain John Terry has been offered a bumper deal to join UAE club Al Nasr. Terry’s former Blues team-mate Dan Petrescu is the current manager of Al Nasr and has stated that he will call and ask Terry to join him in Dubai.

The Blues skipper’s contract runs out this summer and he is reportedly mulling over signing a one-year extension at Chelsea or moving to a new country to end his playing career.

The Daily Mail reports that Liverpool are interested in signing Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk in the summer. The defender has performed admirably at Southampton this season and has been linked with a move to Manchester City and Chelsea, however, Liverpool are the club that have shown more interest in signing the Dutch international.

Jurgen Klopp is looking to add more quality at the back after Liverpool’s defensive failings this season and Van Dijk is one of many defenders linked with the Merseyside club.
