Alexis Sanchez was at his explosive best last week

Gameweek 14 was a huge one for Chelsea, as they defeated Manchester City 3-1 with a great display of efficient counter-attacking football. Manchester United, meanwhile, yet again faltered as they conceded a late penalty because of substitute Marouane Fellaini’s negligence and drew against Everton 1-1. Spurs demolished Swansea City 5-0, as Eriksen and star striker Kane both scored a brace to seal the deal for the Lilywhites. However, one of the most surprising results of the week was Crystal Palace scoring 3 past a strong defensive unit like Southampton’s.

The week was certainly a high scoring one with several premium players bringing home the points. It will be essential that managers continue their form and even improve upon it for the next week. Here we have 5 players, who you could pick for Gameweek 15 for your Fantasy Premier League team :

#5 Alexis Sanchez

The Chilean’s stellar performance showed Sanchez’s explosive nature when it comes to Fantasy Premier League and football in general. The man of the match was involved in 4 goals as he scored thrice and set one up as well, a performance which saw Arsenal slay West Ham 5-1. The player has prospered as the Arsenal #9 and is currently tied with Chelsea striker Diego Costa for the maximum number of goals scored.

The player has put in solid performances for the club and will definitely be able to negotiate a great deal for himself considering the kind of quality that he brings to the Arsenal side. Arsene Wenger will have to put his best deal forward if he wants to keep the Chilean at the club and keep competitors at bay.

Arsenal play their next fixture against Stoke, a team which has often caused them problems in the past. However, Alexis’ outstanding form and the team’s cohesiveness should see Arsenal get the job done at the Emirates Stadium.

Next 3 fixtures: Stoke City(H), Everton(A), Manchester City(A)

#4 Wilfried Zaha

Zaha looks to be in the groove

Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has been impressive, to say the least. The player has racked up 5 assists and has also scored once in his last 6 games. His trickery and pace make him a dangerous player to play against.

Zaha has constantly caused trouble to opposition fullbacks and may well continue to do so. Crystal Palace showed their offensive prowess the last week when they annihilated a solid Southampton defence and tore the backline to shreds. The winger has combined well with his teammates and with a good finisher in Christian Benteke, Palace will continue to be a dangerous team when it comes to attacking.

This week the London club will be up against Hull City. The Tigers have won just once in their last 5 games, and are 19th on the points table. The winger should make the most out of this and do his best to ensure that his team comes back with all 3 points in the bag.

Next 3 fixtures: Hull City(A), Man Utd(H), Chelsea(A)

#3 Diego Costa

There is no one better at the moment

The Spaniard has been a constant in our teams and has not disappointed us at all. He leads the race for the golden boot and has been a talismanic figure for the Chelsea team. Costa showed his ruthlessness against City as he scored from his first shot on the target. Such is the efficiency of the Chelsea team that they scored 3 goals out of a mere 4 shots on target. Costa has been declared fit to play and there is no reason to remove him from our FPL teams.

Chelsea’s next fixture is against West Brom who have kept a total of a measly 3 clean sheets in the league right now. Further, the match will be played at Stamford Bridge and the home support will definitely aid Costa’s form.

Next 3 fixtures: West Brom(H), Sunderland(A), Crystal Palace(A)

#2 Marcos Alonso

Alonso has proved to be a shrewd signing for Chelsea

Chelsea’s new signing Marcos Alonso has been a great player for the blues. His position in Conte’s system is such that he is able to make plenty of attacking runs. Although, available at a premium price which looks like it’ll increase even more, the player averages more than 6 points per game since the time he became a first choice for the team.

As a wingback, Alonso is often right in the middle of the action and can get you assists as well. Chelsea are on a run of 8 consecutive wins and will look to continue their sublime form against West Brom.

The Blues boast of a defence which has kept the maximum clean sheets in the league till now. Alonso’s attacking capacity and his involvement in the Chelsea defence makes him a great pick for the coming gameweeks.

Next 3 fixtures: West Brom(H), Sunderland(A), Crystal Palace(A)

#1 Divock Origi

Coutinho’s injury has given Origi time and space to shine

The Liverpool striker returned to the team due to Coutinho's injury and repaid the manager’s faith in him as he scored twice against Bournemouth. In an otherwise forgettable match for the Liverpool fans, Origi's performance was superb, to say the least.

If the Belgian continues to keep up performances like this, the team might not even miss the creative magician that Coutinho is. Liverpool play their next fixture against West Ham United, a team who conceded 5 goals in their last game against Arsenal.

West Ham's defensive vulnerabilities make it imperative to have attacking coverage from Liverpool and Origi may just be the right person for that.

Next 3 fixtures: West Ham(H), Middlesbrough(H), Everton(A)
