Reports suggest that as much as 22 million Euros will be paid to him as compensation for the termination of his contract which had two years remaining in it.

This news comes in after weeks of speculation about Laurent Blanc's position at PSG, with Unai Emery waiting in the wings. PSG lost to Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, and that seems to be costing him his job.

Unai Emery is now more or less sure to be taking his place, Emery who has won three back to back titles Europa League titles with Sevilla is being brought in for his European know-how and his success at the level.

PSG had brought in Blanc after Carlo Ancelotti had left for Real Madrid, he has performed admirably in his two seasons, guiding talented youngsters like Veratti, Marquinhos, and Rabiot. But, as PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has pointed out despite domestic treble, this season has been a "failure" without the holy grail of the champions league.

Laurent Blanc though, should look at his career with PSG as a success, he has won three Leauge 1 titles, two Coup de France titles, three Coup de la Ligue titles and three Trophée des Champions and was named League 1 manager of the season in 2015. That is ten trophies in three seasons, not bad eh!
