Former Liverpool striker Emile Heskey has urged the Reds to complete the signing of Chelsea and Real Madrid target Victor Osimhen. The Englishman believes the Nigerian international would fit into Jurgen Klopp's system at Anfield.

It wouldn't come as a shock if Liverpool return to the transfer market for attacking reinforcements. The Reds are still trying to fill the void left by the departures of players like Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, with Mohamed Salah also heavily being linked with a switch to Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen continues to draw the attention of big clubs across Europe with his exceptional performances for Napoli. The striker has recorded six goals and one assist in 10 appearances for the Italian outfit across all competitions so far. He was recently linked with an exit from the club amid a social media drama.

Speaking to Luckyblock.com, Emile Heskey urged Liverpool to go after Osimhen. The former Reds star reckoned that the player has the attributes that would enable him to shine under Jurgen Klopp's tutelage.

“He’s a goalscorer,” Heskey said. “I watched him in the Europa League when Napoli played against Leicester, and he just scored two goals out of absolutely nothing. I was scratching my head thinking, ‘How has he managed that?’ He’s obviously had his issues in Italy, and any player would like to come to the Premier League because it’s the best league in the world."
“Him being linked to Liverpool isn’t a surprise; would he fit into the way Liverpool play? 100%! He’s someone who can run in behind, stretch the game and play with his back to goal, so he’d definitely suit Liverpool and the way that they play. If he were available, then it would definitely be something that I’d be looking at, if I were Jurgen Klopp," he added.

How much could Victor Osimhen cost Liverpool?

Napoli's owner Aurelio De Laurentiis is known as one of the toughest negotiators when it comes to transfer businesses in Europe. The Reds should be aware that they can't get a player of such quality under the Italian's nose for cheap.

According to Transfermarkt, Victor Osimhen currently has a market value of €120 million. The Nigerian striker still has two years on his contract with Napoli. This means the Serie A giants won't be under pressure to sell and could look to get a bit more than that sum from his departure.

That said, Klopp's side will be in action in the Europa League tonight (October 26) as they host Toulouse at Anfield. It remains to be seen if they can maintain their 10% start to the competition when they go head-to-head with the French outfit.
