Gianluigi Donnarumma has expressed a desire to stay with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) amid rumours linking him to Manchester United. The Red Devils are reportedly seeking a new goalkeeper this summer amid concerns about Andre Onana's performances.
The Cameroonian arrived at Old Trafford in the summer of 2023 from Inter Milan for a reported £47.2m fee. However, Onana has divided opinion among fans and experts so far.
The 29-year-old registered 11 clean sheets from 50 appearances across competitions this season, conceding 65 goals. Recent reports have suggested that Manchester United have identified Donnarumma as a possible upgrade on Onana.
The Italian goalkeeper was a key member of the PSG team that completed a historic treble this season. Donnarumma finished the campaign with 12 clean sheets from 40 games, where he let in just 39 goals.
The 26-year-old's contract with the Parisians expires in 2026, and he is yet to sign a new deal. Recent reports have suggested that the Red Devils, as well as Manchester City, are hot on the player's heels.
Speaking recently, as cited by Get Football News France, Donnarumma added that he is yet to make a decision on his future.
“My priority is to stay at PSG. I think that there won’t be problems in the negotiations. I still don’t know what will happen. I haven’t decided anything,” said Donnarumma.
Recent reports have suggested that Manchester United also have their eyes on Emiliano Martinez as an option to strengthen their goalkeeping department.
Are Manchester United trying to sign Viktor Gyokeres this summer?

Manchester United are working to sign both Viktor Gyokeres and Emiliano Martinez this summer, according to Fichajes. The Red Devils are in urgent need of a new striker after a disappointing campaign in front of goal.
Rasmus Hojlund failed to impress, while Joshua Zirkzee didn't live up to the billing either. Ruben Amorim's team finished 15th in the Premier League table and lost 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final.
The Portuguese head coach is eager for improvements and has turned to his former striker. Amorim and Gyokeres enjoyed tremendous success together at Sporting, and Manchester United are planning to reunite the pair at Old Trafford.
The English giants are ready to match the Portuguese club's €70m valuation for Gyokeres, with the player also willing to move. Meanwhile, the Red Devils are reportedly working to sign Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa for a €30m fee.
