#3. Tanguy Ndombele - Lyon

Tanguy Ndombele has found himself out of favor at Tottenham Hotspur over the past year and a half.

The Frenchman was signed in 2019 for a club record €62 million from Olympique Lyon and was seen as the answer to the side's midfield worries. The move has since failed to work out, with multiple Spurs managers deciding that Ndombele is not up to the level they foresaw.

Ndombele displays excellent skill and technical ability and can be deployed as an exciting box-to-box midfielder in the right system. He has scored just 10 goals and made nine assists in 91 appearances in all competitions for Spurs.

He was the subject of continued inquiries from Paris Saint-Germain, but a move to the French giants failed to go through.

Lyon has emerged as a surprise candidate to sign Ndombele, with the deal making great progress over the past few hours. It certainly looks like it will go through before the end of the window.

#2. Denis Zakaria - Juventus

Denis Zakaria looks all but ready to move clubs this winter.

The Swiss has been with Borussia Monchengladbach since 2017 and has slowly emerged as one of the Bundesliga's best midfielders. He displays an exciting brand of football, one that has caught the eye of several top clubs.

Zakaria has been linked to several clubs over the years. Having been linked with the likes of Juventus, Manchester United and Roma of late, the Turin outfit have emerged as the most likely candidate to sign Zakaria.

Juventus have been quite busy this month. They have already announced the marquee signing of Dusan Vlahovic. They have more recently announced the departures of Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur on loan, both to Tottenham.

The deal seems to be in its advanced stages, with only the finer details requiring agreement at this point.

#1. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - Barcelona

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been one of the biggest surprise names to feature in the media this month.

The former Arsenal captain has not had a pleasant couple of months. After initially being dropped from the club for disciplinary issues, the Gabon international now looks increasingly out of boss Mikel Arteta's plans.

Aubameyang has enjoyed quite a successful career with the Gunners. He led them to an FA Cup and has also won a Premier League Golden Boot with the north London club.

Aubameyang has been linked extensively with Barcelona. They are reportedly waiting upon the departure of Ousmane Dembele before completing the move for the 32-year-old. The move has all the makings of a blockbuster transfer deadline day.
