Chelsea have been one of the most active Premier League teams in the transfer market this summer.

Known for making big-money signings, Chelsea came into this transfer window looking to sign an attacker as well as a central defender. Having completed the signing of Romelu Lukaku, the Blues are now on the lookout for a central defender.

Chelsea's current backline is heavily dependent on Thiago Silva, who turns 37 this year. Thus the Blues have been eyeing Jules Kounde, who currently plays for Sevilla in the La Liga.

The 22-year-old is a highly rated player, and it looks increasingly likely that he could be on the move before the transfer window shuts.

#5 Tottenham Hotspur - Dusan Vlahovic

Tottenham Hotspur have been on the lookout for a striker ever since the transfer window opened.

Having been linked with the likes of Martin Brathwaite and Lautaro Martinez, Spurs are now bracing for the potential departure of Harry Kane. With talks for Lautaro Martinez reportedly breaking down, Spurs were most recently linked with Dusan Vlahovic.

The Fiorentina man impressed last season, scoring 21 goals in the Serie A. The 21-year-old has reportedly been identified as a striker who could be successful in the Premier League, with Tottenham Hotspur interested in his services.

Atletico Madrid are also interested to sign Vlahovic, so it remains to be seen which of the two clubs eventually manage to snap him up.

#6 Arsenal - James Maddison

Arsenal have lacked a quality attacking midfielder for a while. Having lost several creative players over the past two seasons, the Gunners are left with only one orthodox attacking midfielder in Emile Smith Rowe. Although the youngster has been impressive, his inexperience is evident.

A team that was renowned for its attractive brand of football, Arsenal seem to have lost their attacking mojo under Mikel Arteta. The Premier League side has been linked with a vast array of attacking midfielders this summer, including Houssem Aouar, Martin Odegaard and James Maddison.

With only two weeks left before the transfer window closes, Arteta and Arsenal will hope to secure at least one more signing to bolster the squad. The lack of an attacking midfielder was evident on the opening day of the 2021-22 Premier League, as Arsenal lost 2-0 at newly promoted Brentford.

With Maddison, who has Premier League experience, reportedly carrying an asking price of £60 million, it remains to be seen if Arsenal are able to land the Englishman.
