Hello and welcome to the Premier League transfer news and rumours of the day! Here are the top stories of the day surrounding the Premiership!

All about Pogba

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has cast his opinion on Paul Pogba’s recent admission of wanting a new challenge elsewhere. He claimed that “some players” use interest of other clubs to get pay-rise from their current club.

He believes that Pogba falls in the same category, even though he admitted that he doesn’t have much personal knowledge about him.

"From my experience, some players, when they know the interest of a club wanting to sign them, as in the case of Pogba, they either use it to get a raise in the club they are or to push and leave to join the club that is interested in them,” he was quoted by Daily Star.

"I don't have a personal knowledge of what Pogba is thinking about, but we have some hints.”

Calderon noted the similarity in the strategy used by Pogba with that of Eden Hazard’s and also added that it could be troubling to sign the Frenchman because most Madrid players don’t want to leave.

"He's used the same strategy as (Eden) Hazard in speaking out publicly and saying that he would like to leave the club.
"It's big trouble, also, because Real Madrid need not to spend more than €100m of the money they get from sales. But up until now, no one wants to leave."

Meanwhile, according to reports from Spain, Juventus are willing to offer €140 million for Paul Pogba and while it is less than the €180 million asking price of United, the Red Devils are willing to negotiate a deal with the Old Lady.

Tottenham transfers

Tottenham did not sign a single player in the last two windows, and it is highly unlikely that they would make a hattrick of it. So far in the window, they have been linked with the likes of Giovanni Lo Celso, Bruno Fernandes and Tanguy Ndombele.

And according to Soccer Link, Tottenham, Juventus and Manchester United have stepped up their pursuit for the Frenchman. All three clubs have submitted bids of €60 million each.

Meanwhile, Daniel Levy is keen on taking action with haste as he has carefully laid out an offensive plan to sign the player. Lyon, however, want €90 million for the midfielder.

The report also adds that Real Madrid have an option on the superstar, but an agreement has not been reached between the two parties. Both Manchester United and Juventus, the report claims, have reached a contractual agreement with Ndombele.

Jorginho’s agent speaks out

The agent of Jorginho, Joao Santos, has claimed that he and his client will wait for a while to know if there is any truth in the rumours linking the Italian to a move to Juventus following Sarri’s appointment.

Santos then went on to claim that his client’s past association with Napoli won’t be a hindrance if Juve come into the play. He also stated that while Jorginho is happy at Chelsea, anything could happen in the market.

“Chelsea have a four-year contract with the lad. We’ll wait a few days to figure out whether there is any truth in this interest mentioned in the papers,” he said.
“His past at Napoli won’t be an issue, because Jorginho is a professional. Right now, Jorginho is happy at Chelsea. He found a great atmosphere and we can’t really say that he’d like to go elsewhere, but anything can happen on the transfer market. We’ll wait and see…”

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has attracted a lot of clubs with his performances for Crystal Palace last season. The defender is being tracked by Manchester United and according to the Record, the Red Devils have agreed a deal to bring the defender.

According to the report, the deal could be worth as much as £55 million, which would make him the most expensive full-back of all time, ahead of what Manchester City paid for Benjamin Mendy two years ago.

However, Manchester United might have to face some problems in the 11th hour as according to reports from Italy (via Express), Juventus have entered the race of the highly-rated full-back.

The report claims that the Old Lady see him as a replacement for Joao Cancelo, who is being linked with a move out of the club. The full-back reportedly caught the attention of Juventus director Fabio Paratici.

Arsenal and Manchester City

After tying up a new deal for right-back Kyle Walker, Manchester City have also done the same for left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko. The left-back was excellent last season and, as a result, has been rewarded with a contract that would see him tied with the Citizens until 2024.

Meanwhile, Arsenal endured a difficult campaign last season as they failed to qualify for the Champions League. They had the chance to reach Europe’s premier competition by winning the Europa League final last season but failed to do so.

As a result, the Gunners will be looking to make shrewd investments in the summer to strengthen their squad and according to Tutto Mercato Web, the Gunners are looking to sign Armando Izzo from Torino.

The player’s agent has reportedly been in contact with the Londoners, who plan to begin talks shortly.
