Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to leave PSG at the end of the season

Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed that he has received a number of offers from Premier League clubs to join them this summer. The Swedish international will be out of contract this summer as his stint in the Ligue 1 comes to an end following four seasons of success at both an individual and team level.

The 34-year-old has won every domestic trophy with the French giants but has failed to win the elusive Champions League title. His dream of winning a first European title failed to materialise yet again after Laurent Blanc’s side were eliminated by Manchester City in the quarter-finals with a 3-2 aggregate scoreline in favour of the Premier League side.

Ibrahimovic has won 13 league titles in his career but the European crown still eludes him. And he admitted that he was disappointed not to go through to the semi-finals.

“Look, I am disappointed,” Ibrahimovic said. “I think we gave away two games here but that is football, I suppose.

“Whatever I say, we still lost the game,” he continued. “I think we were better but we still made too many mistakes, especially in the first game.”

The first leg had ended 2-2 in Paris with a couple of goals coming through comical defensive errors.

“We didn’t use the qualities that we have and didn’t do good enough,” Ibrahimovic explained. “We have to wish all the best to City now and play for what is left to play for. I think it is still two cups.”

Having wrapped up the Ligue 1 title as early as mid-March, PSG now play Lorient in the Coupe de France semi-final on 19 April while they also take on Lille in the Coupe de la Ligue final on 23 April.

When he asked how well City would fare after reaching the Champions League semi-finals for the first time, he said: “It depends who they play against. But they will get the experience from this, that’s for sure.”

Ibrahimovic claims EPL clubs have offered to sign him

The Swedish striker has played in various leagues across Europe having played for Ajax, the two Milan clubs and Barcelona. But he is yet to play in the Premier League and he confirmed that there were offers for his services.

“I have had lots of offers from English clubs,” Ibrahimovic said.

“I have won a lot of trophies but I still want to win a lot more. I want to do it wherever I can.”

His agent Mino Raiola had earlier claimed that Ibrahimovic had made his decision but would not reveal it till the end of the season.

“We know what we want,” he had said. “But we won’t say anything until the summer when the season is over.

“We are clear now what we want to happen. I know what he's counting on doing, but we don't want you to know for the moment.”
