Trevor Chalobah is not the first choice centre-back for Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel. But the 22- year old defender was given the opportunity to shine as Christensen was rested and he surely took his chance.

Trevor Chalobah helped the Blues take an early lead at Stamford Bridge against Southampton with a diving header. More than his goal, Chalobah looked comfortable in Chelsea's defense and was reliable enough to keep Southampton at bay.

Chelsea's 3-1 win against Southampton had a lot of standout performers and Chalobah was one of them. It's not easy for a defender to score goals but Chalobah has scored two in the Premier League. He previously scored on his debut against Crystal Palace back in August.

#4 Hee-Chan Hwang - Wolves

Wolves registered a vital 2-1 win against Newcastle United in Game Week 7. Hee-Chan Hwang played the most pivotal part in the game, scoring both the goals in their win. Hwang's brace helped Wolves gain a vital three points which saw the team climb up to 12th spot in the Premier League table.

The South Korean forward scored early in the 20th minute which helped the hosts lead until Jeff Hendrick's equalizer for Newcastle United in the 41st minute. The joy was short-lived as Hwang found the net again for Wolves in the 58th minute after combining superbly with Raul Jimenez.

Hwang's double means he has scored three goals in the Premier League this season in his four appearances.

#3 Phil Foden- Manchester City

Phil Foden is one of the brightest talents in the Premier League and he once again gave a reminder of that versus Liverpool. In a thrilling encounter between the heavyweights, Foden left his mark and made Liverpool pay for their mistakes. The match ended in a 2-2 draw, with the young playmaker putting his name on the scoresheet.

He was also pivotal for City's second goal, scored by Kevin de Bruyne. He ran down the left flank inside the penalty area and cut back a low cross. The cross was deflected that reached De Bruyne outside the box. He took the shot from his left foot and beat Alisson.

The 21-year old was brilliant against Chelsea in the previous league match but he really performed a notch higher against Liverpool. Foden continuously popped up on the left and threatened to break the lines of the Reds' defense throughout the match. James Milner was out of sorts against the youngster and fouling the player was his only way out.

Foden's first goal of the 2021-22 campaign came at a pivotal time as he equalized for Manchester City. But more than the goal, Foden's grace on the pitch is bound to leave an impression on viewers.

#2 Timo Werner- Chelsea

Often mocked for his misses in front of goal, Timo Werner silenced his critics with brilliant performances versus Southampton. Chelsea fared well in Game Week 7 with their 3-1 victory at Stamford Bridge. Timo Werner scored the vital second goal after Southampton's equalizer which sealed the win for the Blues.

The performance was not just about the goal but more importantly, it showed why Thomas Tuchel prefers Timo Werner. Werner's resilience with his runs helps stretch opponents' defense and Southampton were unable to contain him. His unwavering energy in the final third finally resulted in the goal, helping him kick-start his 2021-22 campaign.

#1 Mohamed Salah - Liverpool

In a game of the highest quality, the most in-form forward in the Premier League had his say. Mohamed Salah can't just stop scoring and he scored again versus Manchester City in a thrilling 2-2 draw in Game Week 7. Salah's strike against City was his sixth goal of the season in seven matches. He also gave the assist for Sadio Mane's goal.

Despite Manchester City's dominance in the first half, they were unable to find an opener. Sadio Mane struck early in the second half for Liverpool to gain the lead, only to be equalized within the next 10 minutes by a brilliant Phil Foden drive. It was Mo Salah's moment of absolute brilliance for his solo goal, which helped Liverpool regain the lead for a brief period of time.

Salah went past the likes of Bernardo Silva and Aymeric Laporte, rendering Manchester City's defense useless for his solo goal. It was a brilliant run and an exquisite finish, something which will remain fresh in the memory of Anfield for some time.
