#3 Diogo Jota - 14 goals
Having joined Liverpool in 2020, Diogo Jota has proved to be a terrific signing for the Premier League club. Now pretty much a mainstay in Liverpool's attack, Jota has often gone unnoticed because of the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
Jota was impressive during his time at Wolves, and has provided Liverpool with an attacking outlet. Strong-willed and deceptively good in the air, Jota is a tricky proposition for any defender. Playing down the centre and on the wings, he has settled well under Jurgen Klopp.
Diogo Jota has 14 goals in the Premier League in 2021, including ten this season. The Portuguese is having the best Premier League season of his career in terms of goal contributions. Liverpool will hope he continues this form for the remainder of the campaign.
#2 Harry Kane - 16 goals
One of the best strikers in Europe, Harry Kane is a three-time Premier League Golden Boot winner.
His eye for goal and deadly finishing has led to him bagging an incredible amount of goals. Kane has won the Golden Boot thrice with Tottenham Hotspur. He was also the top scorer in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Kane had quite an impressive 2020/21 campaign. The Englishman won the Golden Boot with 23 goals and was the Playmaker of the Season with 14 assists. He has always been a consistent performer for Tottenham, even when they have struggled.
Harry Kane has 16 goals in the Premier League in 2021, including two strikes in 2021-22. Tottenham have had quite a turbulent Premier League campaign. After a superb start, they have faltered and dropped points galore. Spurs fans will hope that Antonio Conte’s appointment will help Harry Kane and co. rediscover their mojo.
#1 Mohamed Salah - 24 goals
Undoubtedly the best player in the Premier League, Mohamed Salah is in terrific form, scoring goals galore. In fact, there are only a handful of players that can rival Salah’s stats across all of Europe this season.
Having made an immense contribution to Liverpool’s title challenge, Salah has been their most potent attacking threat this season. He has outscored four other Premier League teams. With his goal against Newcastle, the Egyptian has equalled Jamie Vardy’s record of scoring or assisting in 15 consecutive league games.
Mohamed Salah has 24 league goals in 2021, including 15 this season. He is currently the Premier League’s top goal-scorer, and will need some stopping. He is on course to win his third Premier League Golden Boot award. Salah is also the league’s top assist provider with nine thus far this campaign.
