Hello and welcome to the Real Madrid latest transfer news and rumours of the day! Here are the top stories of the day surrounding the Galacticos!

#3 Eriksen on Spurs contract

Christian Eriksen is currently stalling the Lilywhites’ attempts to tie him down to a new contract with the North London outfit. The Dane is yet to extend his contract which ends in the summer of 2020, making him available for a price lower than his actual worth in the summer of 2019.

As a result, he has been linked with a move out of the London club with Real Madrid being the frontrunners for him. However, according to the Dane himself, he is aware of what he wants and what the Lilywhites want and that there is “nothing” in stories linking him out of Spurs.

"I think people know what I want, and I know what [Tottenham] would like, and there is a good dialogue so there is nothing there [about the move rumours]," said Eriksen.

He then stated that his immediate future is not his current concern as he is only focused on the matters of the pitch and about winning some “battles” that he deems important.

"It's not something I'm thinking of [the speculation]. I focus on playing football, and there are many battles you have to think about and which must be won.”

The former Ajax star then reassured that there is nothing solid in the stories generated by the papers and that he only talks on the rumours made by the press if there is nothing solid in their claims.

"It is not the first time that there have been rumors, and when the newspapers write something, it is not something we are masters of, and if there is nothing concrete, then I just comment on rumours."

Matthijs De Ligt is perhaps the most coveted defender in the world right now. The Ajax superstar already seems to have the world at his feet, only recently winning the Golden Boy award for the best U21 player in the world, beating PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe in the process.

The fact that despite being a teenager, he is the captain of Ajax is a testament to how mature he has already become. With so many qualities, it is only natural for top clubs to covet him. He has already been linked with Barcelona but the Catalans have signed Jean-Claire Todibo for next season.

This leaves his other suitors Manchester City and Real Madrid with one fewer opponent but De Ligt has revealed that he won’t move in January.

"A move will not be happening this transfer window," he said. "Ajax fans will not have to worry about that."

Another day, another roundup where Serie A has direct influence on the Galacticos. The Blancos have been linked with a move for Mauro Icardi and it seems as though they have gotten a step closer to signing him.

According to reports, the Argentine is not going to renew his contract with the Nerazzurri and will be among the first ones to leave the Italian outfit in the summer. The striker has a €110 million clause, which is activated from the 1st of July to the 15th of the same month.

Meanwhile, Don Balon report that Florentino Perez has finally decided the player that should replace Luka Modric at Real Madrid. According to the report, the construction magnate is eying a move for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, whose price stands at €120 million.
