Spain Next Match

Spain have always been football giants when it comes to performing on the international stage but in recent years many believe that they have fallen off. Since their triumph in the 2010 FIFA World Cup they haven’t really performed spectacularly in the FIFA World Cup tournaments.

In the 2014 FIFA World Cup the defending champions put on a shocking display and failed to get past even the group stages. In the subsequent FIFA World Cup, Spain saw themselves get knocked out in the Round of 16 stage by host nation Russia. Even though Spain have not been up to the standards in the recent FIFA World Cups, they are still regarded as one of the best footballing nations in the world and it will be very interesting to see how far they can make it in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Spain’s first game of the 2022 FIFA World Cup is against Saudi Costa Rica on 23rd November 2022. Germany is placed in Group E along with Costa Rica, Germany, and Japan. Their first match against Costa Rica is set to be the 11th match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
