Welcome to our daily transfer rumours round-up which has been dominated today by a cash + player offer for one of Chelsea’s key players. Speaking of Chelsea, The Blues have found a new defensive target after being priced out of a deal for Kalidou Koulibaly.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are planning to sign a striker against the wish of Arsene Wenger. Elsewhere, there are two new clubs interested in the signing of Brazilian sensation Gabigol.

On that note, here are the most popular transfer news and rumours doing the rounds on August 10th.

Serie A

- AC Milan have targeted PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot as their top midfield transfer target this summer. According to Tutto Mercato, Serie A giants are keen to sign Rabiot and re-enforce their fragile midfield. Despite the strong interest from The Rossoneri, no concrete offer has been made so far.

- Mario Balotelli has said yes to a summer transfer to Chievo but his wage demands remain a big constraint. According to Corriere di Verona, Balotelli was quoted saying “I'd go to Chievo” when asked about his next career move. Balotelli is out of favor at Liverpool and has been asked to search a new club.

- Chelsea are now favorites to sign Mauro Icardi ahead of Arsenal in a dramatic turn of events in last 24 hours. According to Football Italia, Blues are ready to offer Oscar + €45million to sign Icardi who is keen to quit Inter Milan this summer.

Bundesliga

- David Alaba has quashed rumours of him joining Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. Alaba was one of the stars linked with a move to Etihad after Leroy Sane’s signing. However, in an interview with SportsBild, Alaba denied any such notion and confirmed: “I play in Munich in one of the best clubs in the world and feel very good there, so I have prolonged.”

- Wolfsburg have reached an agreement with Juventus to sign Simone Zaza, according to Sky Sports Italia. The 25-year-old will join on a four-year deal for a fee of €25 million after falling down the pecking order.

- Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud has a €10 million release clause that will open next summer, SportsBild understands. It now means that Premier League sides Liverpool and Arsenal will need to either spend big on him this summer or wait until next year to sign him.

Yannick Bolasie is on the verge of completing a move to Everton

- Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj is on the verge of joining Sunderland on a season-long loan after failing to impress Jose Mourinho. According to reports from M.E.N, Januzaj wanted a permanent move but Mourinho is keen to follow his development over the next 12-18 months.

- Juventus have offered cash + Simone Zaza in hope to complete a deal for Nemanja Matic. Gazzetta dello Sports understands that Antonio Conte is keen to bring a striker to Stamford Bridge and is tempted to sell Matic as he will get to work with one of his favorites strikers Simone Zaza.

- Everton have agreed a £30m deal to sign Yannick Bolasie from Crystal Palace, according to Sky Sports. The move is significant for Liverpool as well because Palace will look to spend the £30m on signing Christian Benteke after seeing their previous two bids rejected.

- Chelsea have identified Lamine Kone as their defensive options this summer after Napoli turned down a £38million bid for Kalidou Koulibaly from the Blues last night. Gazzetta claims that Napoli are reluctant to sell Koulibaly as they are yet to find a right replacement for him.

La Liga

- Isco has emerged as a transfer target for Serie A Champions Juventus. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juve fear that both Blaise Matuidi and Nemanja Matic will not be sold this summer so now they have turned their attention to Isco who is valued at €30m and is likely to be sold by Real Madrid this summer.

- Mesut Ozil is thinking of a return to Real Madrid, according to Bild who have reported earlier today about Ozil rejecting the new contract offer from Arsenal. Ozil is still in touch with most of the Real Madrid players who believe that the German ace will not think twice before joining the Los Blancos side once again.

- Atletico Madrid have reportedly offered €20m for Santos forward Gabriel Barbosa, also known as Gabigol. Atletico join Juventus, Inter Milan, and Leicester City as potential suitors for the Brazilian striker. The 19-year-old is expected to decide on his future before the end of summer transfer window.

Rest of Europe

- Newcastle are close to completing the transfer of 23-year-old Frankfurt striker Luc Castaignos. According to Chronicle, the striker took his medical earlier today and will be announced as a Newcastle United player in next 24 hours.

- According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Aston Villa have reportedly tabled a €17 million offer for Bologna midfielder Amadou Diawara. The 19-year-old is one of the most in-demand players this summer with Napoli, Inter Milan and PSG interested in his signature.

- Arsenal could make an offer for out of favor striker Wilfried Bony after he was told that he has no place in the Manchester City side this summer. However, Arsene Wenger is not sure of Bony’s abilities to be a top striker who can lead Arsenal’s attack next season.
