- Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney is on the verge of a move to Everton, according to British tabloids The Sun and the Daily Mail. Rooney was pictured in Liverpool, although given that he grew up there, this could be a case of much ado about nothing.
- Chelsea have all but agree deal for Roma defender Antonio Rudiger, according to Sky Sports. The fee is set to rise up to £34m, with the medical to take place in Los Angeles. Rudiger is holidaying in USA after winning the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup with Germany.
- Everton have offered £20m for Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, continuing their spending spree this summer. However, Arsene Wenger is reluctant to let his French striker leave, as they view a £20m fee in this inflated market to be not sufficient enough for a striker of Giroud's pedigree.
