Trent Alexander-Arnold signs new Liverpool deal

Liverpool have confirmed that Trent Alexander-Arnold has signed a contract at the club. The right-back, who has been playing regularly for the Reds for the past couple of seasons has been tremendous and thus, has been rewarded with a new deal.

The 20-year-old's new contract is a 5-year deal keeping him at the club until 2024. With Arnold signed, Liverpool have now sealed all their first team players on a long-term contract.

On signing the deal, Alexander-Arnold said, “I'm ecstatic and really proud. I feel privileged to have the support and the trust the club has in me to offer me a new deal. There was no doubt in my mind to sign and extend the years I have with the club. Hopefully, we can achieve a lot of success in those years. As soon as they offered the contract, there was no hesitation whatsoever.”

Jurgen Klopp expressed his delight too and asked the Liverpool faithful to come up with a chant for the young right-back.

Anthony Martial to sign a new deal

From one contract signing to another. Reports in Italy suggest that Anthony Martial is set to sign a new long-term deal at Manchester United. The Frenchman was looking to leave when Jose Mourinho was in-charge but has changed his mind following the manager's sacking.

The forward is enjoying his time under Ole Gunnar Solskjær and is ready to commit his future to the Red Devils. His current contract was set to expire in the summer of 2020 after United triggered the one-year extension on his deal in December.
