Emmanuel Riviere scored a hat-trick to register himself on the score sheet along with new recruit Radamel Falcao. Victor Hugo Montano scored the only goal for the visitors who were taken apart by a buoyant Monaco side.
French giants PSG managed to salvage a draw against Ajaccio at the Parc des Princes thanks to a late goal from Uruguayan Edinson Cavani, after Benoit Pedretti had given the away side a shock early lead. PSG are yet to pick up a win in the league under new manager Laurent Blanc.
