A few hours ago, Epic Games officially announced the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Fracture Live Event. Key art revealed that the island was "Fracture(d)," with multiple Chrome Vortex ripping apart the landscape. While it's unclear how this will translate into the live event, it does create a lot of anticipation and hype.

With a few days left before the live event kicks off, there are a couple of things that players should know before it begins. Listed below are five important things to know before the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Fracture Live Event takes place.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Fracture: The beginning of a brand-new ending

1) Chapter 4 may feature a "Fracture(d)" map

According to leakers, the new map for Chapter 4 will be created from "Fracture(d)" pieces of the older islands. Since The Zero Point functions as a Black Hole, sucking in reality itself and spitting it out the other side, this theory is rock solid.

However, this can only be confirmed if footage of the new island is showcased during the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Fracture Live Event. If not, players will have to wait until the first hot drop of Chapter 4 commences. If it does happen, players will be seeing a lot of familiar POIs from the past.

2) Players will be able to join in-progress until 4:40 pm ET

The Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Fracture Live Event will allow latecomers to join in-progress until 4:40 pm ET. This is a great decision on Epic Games' part, given that it has never been possible over the years. Players who get disconnected will be able to rejoin their group and continue together.

Another interesting point to note is that those who do not have a group will be able to form one by emoting with other players. This should make the ability to find a plus-one last minute extremely easy.

3) Free Toasty Roast Emote

To commemorate the end of Chapter 3, Epic Games is giving a free emote to all players in-game. Those who log into the game between December 2, 2022, at 9:00 am ET and December 4, 2022, at 2:45 am ET will receive the Toasty Roast Emote.

While the emote in question is nothing spectacular, it does set the mood for the end of reality in Chapter 3. Once activated, the player's character will sit on a cozy lawn chair in front of a campfire and roast marshmallows.

4) XP will flow like milk and honey

With the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Fracture Live Event occurring in less than 11 days, there's a lot left to do in-game. For players who haven't yet reached the 200 seasonal account level, this is their final chance to do so.

Epic Games is releasing a plethora of challenges to complete every week, with each challenge rewarding 20,000 XP. There are bonus goals that reward XP as well as level up tokens.

However, there is some bad news. Those who are not yet at a relatively high level may not be able to reach level 200 at all. Considering that players at seasonal level 150 will require 400,000 XP a day to reach level 200, it won't be an easy task for those still on lower levels. Nevertheless, there's no harm in trying.

5) The event is one-time-only

For those new to the game, it should be noted that the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Fracture Live Event is a one-time-only gig. Once it has been completed in-game, there's no way to relive the experience barring video. However, that's not the same thing.

Players planning to attend the live event should clear their schedule and mark the date on their calendars. It's also advisable to form a fixed squad beforehand to avoid being alone when Reality Zero crashes and burns.
